Hotel Botanic Sanctuary *****

Historical architecture for the demands of an upscale hotel clientele in Antwerp.

In the botanical garden in the middle of the city and hidden behind high walls is this gem with 108 rooms and suites, 2 Michelin-starred restaurants and a 1000m² Botanic Health Spa & Club area. The hotel is a “Leading Hotel of the World” and claims to be one of the best hotels in the region. DUSCHOLUX accompanied the project from an early stage and developed a walk-in shower solution specially tailored to the colour concept.

Clever concepts.
A clear design language and a colour concept that has been thought through down to the last detail. The architects involved the DUSCHOLUX Belgium team in the planning of the hotel bathrooms at an early stage. They chose the Dark Platinum colour for the fittings from Dornbracht. DUSCHOLUX made it possible for this very noble and timeless-looking colour to be applied to various materials. The colour 99 of the fittings was the decisive colour reference for the wall and floor profiles of the 33 Air 2 shower walls installed. These are presented in the shower area with clear contours and still convey neat, uncluttered sophistication. Together with the fittings, they create a harmonious overall picture.

High-quality furnishings.
Impressive. Timeless. Luxurious. Let yourself be taken in by the feeling of space and relax at the same time. The rooms and suites of the Hotel Botanic Sanctuary are all integrated into a historic complex of monastery buildings. A great deal of consideration was given to blending the past and the future into an experience for the guests. This is made visible and tangible for everyone by means of a well thought-out design concept. Quite simply, an elegant design in keeping with the ancient spirit of the monastery.
